Googles much-talked-about Project Fi cell service is finally here, and although the company has downplayed talk of competing with the major US carriers, its simple pricing and combination of networks promises big things.
Theres lots to admire about Project Fi. As weve covered in an earlier news post, you get the benefit of over a million WiFi hotspots to make calls, send text and browse the Internet, as well as coverage from T-Mobile and Sprint when WiFi is unavailable or spotty. The base plan is a low $20 per month, with unlimited WiFi data and cellular data available for $10 per GB.
